Western Oklahoma State College, also known as WOSC, is a community college found in Altus, Oklahoma. The school receives an average enrollment of more than 1,500 students each term. Of these students, 58 percent and women while 42 percent are male. Western Oklahoma State College was founded in 1926 under the name Altus Junior College. Then state legislature changed its name to the present Western Oklahoma State College in 1974.

The school offers a transfer program that will allow students to use their 2-year degrees and use it as credit to continue their studies in other 4 year colleges and universities. Among the courses offered by Western Oklahoma State College includes Associate in Arts degrees such as Social Science, Behavioral Science, Music and Liberal Arts, Associate in Applied Science degrees such as Radiologic Technology, Aviation, Nursing, Child Development and Fire Technology, and Associate in Science degrees such as Early childhood, agricultural sciences, and health, physical education and recreation.
WOSC is a member of NCAA Division II sporting events. The school is involved in several varsity sports such as golf, men and women's basketball, baseball, softball, rodeo, and cheerleading. The school colors of WOSC are green and gold, and the school nickname are the Pioneers.
